As president and CEO of Fi-Plan Partners, Greg advises organizations, families and individuals who wish to enhance and preserve their wealth. He's also the creator of Your Financial House®, a nationally acclaimed management tool that is transforming the financial services industry, giving clients an insightful and enjoyable experience of bringing all aspects of their financial life under one roof.

Greg has more than twenty-five years of experience in the financial investment industry. He's a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA) and is a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA). Just a few years ago, he was chosen as one of five financial advisors for Research magazine's 2002 Advisor Hall of Fame. It's an honor reserved for those who are, according to the editors, "judged by the clients, their colleagues, and by industry notables as representing the very best the industry has to offer."

Greg, a husband and father of three girls, is a dedicated family man who's active in his community and enjoys serving several of Alabama's charities and nonprofit organizations, both as part of the mission at Fi-Plan Partners and on his own. While at Samford University in the early 80s, he held leadership positions and continues to be active in the Samford University Alumni Council. He's past president and currently serves on the advisory board of Camp Smile-A-Mile, an organization that provides outings and camp sessions for children with cancer. Greg's also an active member of the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where he serves on the Church School Board, and Chairmen of the Samford University School of Business Advisory Board.

He's fond of noting that his daughters have been some of his best teachers about the financial profession. Each has given him a profound piece of wisdom or insight into how to make the services and strategies at Fi-Plan Partners more accessible and more useful for clients. "If I can discuss it with my children, and see their faces light up with excitement and understanding," he says, "then I know I'm ready to share it with the rest of the world."

Quint Cook, Senior Vice President/Wealth Consultant

Quint began his career in the financial industry over twelve years ago after earning his stripes in retail management. At Fi-Plan Partners, if we consider Greg the builder of Your Financial House, then Quint would be your architect.

He begins by learning firsthand about your current state of affairs and your personal vision for the future. He personally attends to knowing as much as he can about you and your life so that he can make sound recommendations as you build Your Financial House. "If the numbers start to tell the story," he explains, "I need you to finish it. I want to know about you, the person."

Quint's also the point person when it's time to coordinate with the other professionals who are important to your financial life, people such as your CPA or estate attorney.

Quint received his degree in business management from Jacksonville State University. Through LPL Financial, he holds the Series 7 (general securities), Series 63 (Alabama Blue Sky), Series 31 (managed futures), and Series 65 (registered investment advisor) licenses. He's also licensed to provide you with life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, and variable annuities, and he's working toward earning the Certified Financial Planner® designation.

"I'm not a wealth manager," he points out, "but I work with one of the best wealth managers there is: Greg Powell."

Quint and his son, Connor, are active in the local community together. Quint also serves as a Boy Scout Leader of his son's Scout Pack, he's a nationally certified Range Officer, and he's a safety instructor with the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.

Amy Marquis, Branch Operations Manager

Amy oversees the day-to-day operation of the firm and ensures you have a positive experience any time you interact with Fi-Plan Partners. She's committed to making sure you receive prompt and courteous attention, a key part of our "five-star service."

She, along with Mike, is your first-line contact here, helping you open accounts, handle paperwork, coordinate and communicate about settlements, and schedule appointments with our wealth consultants. Amy works with the wealth consultants, too, to help solve any problems you experience and answer any questions you may have.

Amy earned her undergraduate degree in psychology with a concentration in business at Auburn University and her MBA at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Experienced in administration and operations within the financial services industry, Amy is also a certified Persogenics trainer guiding our team, affiliates and clients in achieving optimal communications.

Having been a long-time member of the Alabama Youth 4-H, and its state president in the nineties, she continues her contribution to this organization through speaking and volunteering at local, state, and national levels. In addition, she enjoys art and is gifted in the areas of painting and sketching. Family is extremely important to Amy, and she cherishes her strong family ties. She has two precious nieces, Kinley and Lauren.

Chris Davis, Communications Director

As a graduate of Samford University, Chris spent six years in ministry work and then over ten years performing as a professional musician both solo and with his band. During this time he started a conference company that provided training and resources for aspiring young musicians. Chris also opened and managed the Big Mountain Coffee Company which he recently sold. Having learned valuable skills through these different businesses, Chris was well prepared to step into the role of Communications Director at Fi-Plan Partners.

Chris works closely with Greg in effectively communicating with our clients, potential clients, business partners, Fi-Plan Partner’s charities and the community. He has used his creative talents by producing the music and information you hear when you are placed on hold at our office and by developing our exclusive coffee Financial House Blend. Communication is the exchange of information and Chris is constantly looking for ways to emphasize how much we care about our clients at Fi-Plan Partners

Chris spends most of his free time with his son, Camden, riding bikes and playing soccer and baseball. He is an enthusiastic cyclist and has ridden across the Mohave Desert and North Carolina. He races several century rides every year. He is an ambassador for the Hoover City Chamber of Commerce and occasionally plays his guitar in local venues in the Birmingham area.

Mac began his career in financial services right after college and has specialized in comprehensive financial planning. At Fi-Plan Partners, Mac works with Quint creating and reviewing your financial blueprints.

Our process begins with Mac learning about your current situation and dreams for the future. Then Quint and he can begin to build Your Financial House® and make recommendations. He also works with you on updating your Financial Blueprint to ensure you are on track to achieve your goals.

“Financial Planning is an ongoing process”, he explains, “There fore it is important for us to update your Financial Blueprint on an annual basis.”

Mac received his degree in geography with a concentration in business from Auburn University. Through LPL Financial he, holds Series 7 (General Securities) and Series 66 (Uniform Combined State Law). He is also licensed to provide you with life insurance, disability insurance, long-term care insurance, and variable annuities. Mac is currently working toward earning the Certified Financial Planner ® designation and is a member of the Financial Planning Association.

Mac has been active in his local community and has a strong desire to help and serve others. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and spent two summers on staff at Philmont Scout Ranch.

Julie Ellis, Client Relations Coordinator

Being Operations Coordinator of fi-Plan Partners, Julie’s main goal is to insure the client receives “our five star service” on all levels.

Julie graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Art in Communications with a central concentration in Public Relations. She also minored in Computing Technologies and Informational Sciences. While at the University of Alabama Julie was part of the Student Government Association that made critical decisions to ensure a positive life on campus. She was also a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.

After graduating Julie began her career in financial/brokerage services. With 5 years experience she is a vital part of the fi-Plan Partners team as our Operations Coordinator working with Chris Davis in developing our client experience with different types of communication, education and special events.

Julie and her husband, Jared, both former athletes, enjoying running and watching sports.

Renee Franks, Systems Manager

Renee Frank is someone who is very organized and focused on making sure all our internal systems are efficient and coordinated. This enables our entire team to execute information, strategies, and communication in a consistent and timely manner throughout the office as well as with our clients.

In these fast paced markets, we need a team member who can step back and see the systems we need to implement in order for our work to flow between the financial blueprints, the portfolios, and operations.

Renee definitely knows how to handle organization in a fast environment. She is a graduate of Auburn University in Montgomery with a degree in Business Administration. She has 13 years in retail management and nine years in early childhood development. She lives in Hoover, Alabama with her husband Joe and their three children Kayla, Brandon, and Alex.
